Sega Classics to Steam

By Harley 3 years ago

Today is a great day for nostalging (the verb form of nostalgia), as 11 classic Sega Genesis games were released to steam. These games include

-Golden Axe -Altered Beast -Comix Zone -Ecco the Dolphin -Gain Ground -Shinobi III -Vectorman -Sonic 3D Blast -Crack Down -Shadow Dancer -Space Harrier II

Now let me be the first to say "HOLY FUCKING SHIT", but also let me say "HOLY FUCKING SHIT THESE COME IN A BUNDLE FOR LESS THEN $40!"

So gents, get out there and play some awesome classic games.

at least get Vectorman...it's fucking awesome source

I have Vectorman on the real Genesis, have a legitimate ROM dump from said real Genesis, and have it on Steam now.

The Steam version is emulated as well: it's got a nice GUI, a very nice save state system and good scaling options but the performance is slightly worse then you'll get with something like Kega Fusion. Vectorman has a tendency to stutter when there's a lot of explosions/effects on screen, but then again the real hardware occasionally does that too. Fusion's probably the better choice for that reason, although Sega's emulator has a better menu for save states.

    Trap goes here.

I think anyone who is nostalgic about these games already dug their old Genesis out of the closet or downloaded the ROMs of them.

It's rather bullshit that you don't save any money buying them in the bundle...

    I may buy afew though.

Posted by jjjrmy This should probalby go in the steam section. And why doesn't your news look as pretty as the other ones?

Probably because I'm new to the newer format and have yet to know what other features are.
