Folders like "Counter Strike: Source", "Day Of Defeat: Source", "Sourcesdk_content" aren't appearing in the Steamapps Folder.
I'm trying to be able to import/export files, and start modding Source games again, but I've run into a bit of a problem here.
At the moment, I've got multiple steam games installed, as well as Source SDK. But none of their folders appear within the Steamapps folder. Sourcemods and Common are there however, but aside from the GCF files, nothing else.
I'm currently running a brand new system, Vista 64 Bit. I've checked in the Program Files (64 bit) and there's no Steam Folder and it can only be found in Program Files (x86) (makes sense, since Steam is 32 bit). Folder options are set to View Hidden Folders, and I've tried refreshing the folder (open/close & F5) several times just to be sure.

Yeah, happened to me once.
Ok, so I got it figured, I just had to run them once >.<
I thought I had, but in the past few days, I've had to install/uninstall, format and re-install Vista so I sort of forgot whether or not I had ran them this time or not haha.
Anyways, topic resolved, thanks for the suggestions, screw you steam (still shitty support). :D Never liked steam...
Not sure if you clarified, but can you run those games?
i have my steam installed in the /program files(x86)/ folder.
idk what else it could be unless it somehow got moved into the regular program files folder. :/
edit. nevermind the last line, didn't realize you already checked there.
Hm, that is pretty messed up.
By chance have you looked in the other areas that Vista likes to split directories?
I believe it's /yourname/AppData, then there's also the program data folder that is located in the root of your drive as well.
Who knows, by default Vista likes to split crap around in so many odd ass ways its impossible to really tell what is going on >:|
Perhaps you could just create the folder and continue with your work? A really quick fix, but a fix at that I suppose.
well... i had this problem a LONG time ago i dont remember what exactly what i did but before realizing that it was fixed i saved a game of hl2...
Try running the games first. maybe it will appear
Don't see how that's it, since I have run CS:S and SDK_content isn't a game.
... i might be wrong but i think you might have to save a game... once again i might be wrong but you might want to check that one out...
