Help with Steam?!? [*Urgent]

My Steam just stopped connecting all together...pics and details inside.

By Chinikaylo 2 years ago

I used to play Steam games daily and I stopped for about a month or two and now my steam wont log in. It's saying I am not connected to the internet, but in Screenshot A, I am clearly connected to the web, and watching YouTube videos. Can someone please explain this garbage...

*** I tried to Run As Admin, I tried exiting, restarting, etc., and it's allowed through my firewall...***

Re-install, or delete all the files in your steam folder except for steam.exe and the steamapps folder

Kasumi wanted to say something like...

There have been some reports today about Steam messing up. In other words, the problem may not be on your end.

Can you be sure your firewall and/or router allow it? You may have an internet connection, but you've only shown that for port 80 which firewalls/routers will usually monitor differently.

...but he's temporarily gagged so I'm saying it.

I'd like to add Steam has a million bugs and it could easily fix itself tomorrow or it could decide to give you the middle finger and sleep with your mom. Who knows...

By the way, this isn't urgent.

Can't see the images. But do you get the error like this

If you do, then the same thing happened to me too. For me logging off or restarting always works (I set Steam to start on startup fyi). If it still happens, then try to reinstall Steam. Still not working then go flip a bird at Valve.
